Hot days are coming! What better way to cool down with a great frozen treat with less calories and more nutrition. I've looked at a lot of different recipes online, but I just decided to test this one myself. Here it is:
1 bag (10-12 oz.) frozen fruit of your choice
1 single serving container of your favorite yogurt (you may want to match the flavor of the fruit you use.)
1/2-1 medium banana (frozen or not)
Optional: stevia or natural liquid to taste
Place all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend on high. You may need to do the Pulse option to get the rest of the fruit pureed. The result should be an ice cream consistency.
Scoop into popsicle mold almost, but not quite, to the top. Insert tops. Place in freezer for at least 2 hours. You can sample some that doesn't fit into your molds. Ahhh!
Makes 8-10 servings. Calories: around 70 calories each for 8, 56 calories, for 10 using Stevia.
