My Blog

From the Desk of Charlaine

Well, I am currently tethered to an I.V. pole in the hospital. I used my Epipen for what seemed to be an allergic reaction that caused tightness in the chest and trouble breathing. A friend took me to the hospital, but the chest tightness turned to pain and nothing got better. Anyone over 40 with those symptoms they suspect a cardiac event. To make a long story short, although there were cardiac enzymes found, my heart looks great! I am still here, limited with what I can do, so my posts will be sparse until I get home.

If there is anything I can share with you out of this "adventure" is living a healthy lifestyle can do a multitude of things:
  • Ward off heart disease (non-hereditary)
  • Slow down or stop previous damage from living an unhealthy lifestyle
  • Improve your outcomes with surgery, other health conditions, and quality of life.

By not eating junk food, fast food, and processed foods, while being physically active, you can ward off a host of problems and sail through may others much better. Several people have told me that anything can happen to anyone, so why not enjoy life? I enjoy life without the junk, parties, and other high risk things people do. Yes, anything can happen to anyone, but what if we reduce the risk in the first place? How much better life really is!

As soon as it is finished, you will have the devotion for this week:

The other post:

Thank you for your patience. Many healthy blessings to you!
