End of Week Review 11/04/2016

Thanksgiving isn't far away, but you would never know it at the local stores. I went to four different places looking for Thanksgiving decorations for my hubby to put up at work. I found a pitiful display at the dollar store and a few clearanced fall and Thanksgiving items at the drug store. If you didn't know any better, it would seem that Thanksgiving either doesn't exist or was already past! UGH!  The Great Pumpkin and the Fat Man in Red have edged out the Pilgrims and gratitude to God for what we have. We can bring in a little bit of Thanksgiving every day, but it is good to have one day dedicated to thanking God for what He's given us. Football and food are just the trimmings.

Hey, how are your workouts? What have you been doing recently? I did an awesome functional workout this week- Traveling step pushups, side plank core rotations, renegade rows, Pilates ball passes, Tricep dip-Tables, and traveling lunges with kettlebell passes, for example. They are fun, build muscle, and burn calories. Do you have a great healthy Thanksgiving side dish you would like to share? It would be awesome if we could gather several to post this month. We need the exact amounts by measuring cup, measuring spoon, etc. it also helps if we have the cook temp and time.

Food: Hot Spiced Cider

Hot spiced cider is really easy! It only takes 2 ingredients. Put 1/2 gallon or 1 liter of apple cider into a sauce pan and slowly heat on a low-medium heat until steam rises. Put a couple of cinnamon sticks in and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
Optional add-ins: 1/4 tsp. vanilla, dash of cloves, clean orange slices with rinds, or peppermint sticks. I don't know about using them all, though.
