End of Week Review 10/14/2016

This season is full of football in the air. I moved from Ohio, the Buckeye state, clothed in scarlet and gray to Michigan, wolverine country, with it’s maize and blue.  I’m not a football fan, but I have to say that a sweatshirt on Facebook sports my sentiments: “I’m an Ohio girl, in a Michigan world.” That is so me! Are you an armchair athlete, a football parent, or just love being a tailgater? Yes, football is in the air.

If you give out treats to children in costumes at the end of the month, please, remember the Teal Pumpkin project, a way to keep children with celiac and food allergies safe with their treats. Also, watch out for them darting around on Beggar’s Night, please.
The Falling Leaf Challenge sign-ups are underway. From October 24, 2016 to November 23, 2016, lose weight or inches, or track mileage jogging/running, elliptical, bicycling, or swimming. Anyone may enter this challenge ages 18+. Participants will be entered into a random drawing open to U.S. residents of the 48 contiguous states ages 18 or older. For more information and to sign up, go to Falling Leaves Challenge. Details will be posted next week. What do you have to lose, but the weight!

There are some great 5ks and other races around. To find some in your area, visit Active.com.

Ryka.com has some great new women’s workout shoes for the season. Check them out at www.ryka.com.

Looking for some great witness workout gear? Active Faith has some nice hoodies, tanks, t-shirts, and shorts. You can find them at Family Christian Stores and at www.activefaith.com. I do not receive money for sharing the information about Ryka or Active Faith. This is strictly for your information.

In case you missed them:

Bonus: White Bean and Bacon Dip with Rosemary Pita (Healthy Tailgate Treat from Health.com)
