Exercise in a Tropical Resort Area

Vacation season is quickly coming upon us. Everyone loves going to a tropical paradise on vacation! While we were in Hawaii and when we travel to Florida, we discovered a lot of great activities that burn serious calories while having fun on a dream excursion. We looked out on the ocean to see people surfing, body boarding, and hang gliding. One person was parasailing! I was impressed at the number of people who showed up at the Hilo Bay for the canoe clubs. What a very dedicated group! My hubby and I hike quite a bit through the Kilauea Caldera, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls and a couple of parks on the Big Island. We walked a couple of beaches in the sand, and toured several historical sites. I wore my purse/backpack which adds to the burn. Diamond Head Park had a set of workout stations available. They looked challenging! There were some classes in shady areas of beaches like pilates. Beach volleyball pits were at several hotels on the beaches. Some are more cardiovascular while others give a boost through strength work!
