How is your Christmas shaping up? Tree decorated? Check. Wreath hung on door? Check. Shopping done? Almost. Gifts wrapped? One so far. Cards sent? What? Send cards??? Oh, NO!!!! The self-defense instructor in me is coming out. If you are taking your children to see Santa, think about this: You teach your children to stay away from strangers yet encourage your children to sit on Santa's lap. HMMM. My thought is the person playing Santa is usually a stranger. Know who that "Santa" is. Watch your children's interactions with adults out and about after they visit Santa. If kids hear a familiar voice even if the face looks different than "Santa", they could be easily lured away. Be careful. Children appear on the Amber Alerts way too often.

According to the American Council on Exercise, there will be an increase in faith-based fitness programs. Yay! Focus on the Lord in your workouts. Everything falls into place beautifully!
Exercise Tip :Breathe. Sounds simple, but you would be surprised how many people hold their breath instead of exhale, when they push, pull, or lift weight. Exhale on exertion. When stretching, inhale first, then exhale as you relax into the stretch. Continue relaxed breathing throughout the hold of the stretch.
Food Tip:snack on fresh fruit and veggies instead of chips or cookies.Want dip? Use low fat yogurt.
May the Lord bless you!
