My Blog

From the Desk of Charlaine June 2015

A quick note for the week:
I am out of town this week for a conference in the Chicago area. I will do my best to post this week as the schedule allows.

In the meantime, here my list of the most overworked muscles in the gym:
1. Biceps
2. Abs
3.Pecs
4. Upper Traps
5. Inner thighs (adductors)
6.Hamstrings
7. Jaw muscles! LOL!

Trainers and instructors agree on the last one. More conversations happen in the gym! The social aspect of the gym setting is important as long as it doesn't disrupt classes and training sessions. Seriously, though, working the opposing muscle groups to these on the list will help balance the body and avoid damage over time. Guys, the "cobra body" is out! I also don't recommend working out then living with the scent of "Tiger Balm" as a regular thing. It's good to feel like you really worked out, yet another if you are in serious pain afterward.

Take time to check these out this week:

Many blessings to you with your week!
