End of Week Review January 30, 2015

I don't know about you, but by the end of January, I have accidentally written last year's date.Maybe you had setbacks due to colds or flu already at the beginning of  working toward your health and personal goals. Thankfully, we are able to dust ourselves off and begin again!

Super food of the week: Sweet Bell Peppers! They  a fantastic nutritional value for only 31 calories for one whole pepper. They contain vitamin C and A, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, and selenium, as well as anti-oxidants. Want a warm, tasty meal with one? Try Char's Tasty Fiesta Stuffed PeppersCheck the info on this wonderful food.

Exercise of the week: The Lunge
To avoid knee injury, keep feet parallel, body upright, with the front knee directly over ankle. Drop back knee straight down toward, but not on, floor.

Variations include: Walking lunges, weighted lunges, glute activation lunges, sliding lunges, side lunges, suspended lunges, compass lunges and lunge jumps.
